This page explains the small amount of information mo.Ti.co stores in your browser, why it’s there, and how long it stays. mo.Ti.co is a calculator that runs entirely on your device — there are no accounts, no servers collecting your data, and no third parties involved.

What we store

Strictly speaking, mo.Ti.co doesn’t set traditional cookies. It uses your browser’s local and session storage instead, which work in a similar way — small pieces of data saved in your browser. Here is everything it stores:

    Holds the income details you enter — income, tax rate, weekly hours and currency — so your hourly rate stays available while you use the tool.

Why we don’t ask for consent first

Under the EU GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you’ve asked for — or that simply remembers a preference you set — doesn’t require prior consent. Everything listed above falls into that category: it’s what makes the calculator usable and remembers your choices.

Because none of it tracks you, builds a profile, or leaves your device, there are no advertising or analytics cookies to accept or reject. We still show a short notice for transparency — that’s what this page and the banner are for.

Managing or removing this data

Session data — your income details and selected currency — is removed the moment you close the tab. You can also clear your saved rate at any time using the “Clear saved rate” button on the hourly-rate page.

Your theme choice and the record that you’ve seen this notice live in local storage. You can remove them by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. Blocking storage entirely is fine too — the tool still works, it just won’t remember your preferences between visits.

Changes to this policy

If what we store ever changes, we’ll update this page and, where appropriate, show the notice again. The date above always reflects the current version.
